The ‘Roos will be looking to bounce back against the University of Texas-Dallas on Wednesday night at home.

Centenary remained undefeated after defeating Louisiana College 78-74 on the road Saturday Afternoon. Centenary (3-0) extends its winning streak to three games after holding off a late Wildcats run. Jonathan Blount continued his impressive season by leading all scorers with a season high 31 points, going 10-17 from the field and 3-4 from behind the arc. Blount, named SCAC’s Player of the Week last week, is averaging 27.0 ppg and has notched a game high in all three of Centenary’s games so far. Brett Bell got his second consecutive double-double of the year scoring 11 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Donovan Williams and Caden Cheramie added 10 points and 8 points respectively. Centenary led in rebounding 45-38. Centenary’s largest lead of the night was 11 points, which came at halftime 45-34. Centenary continues its road trip next Tuesday against McNeese State at 7:30 p.m.

Sophomore forward Chris Lesnansky turned in a dominating performance with a career-high 27 points and 12 rebounds, but the Colorado College dropped a 71-65 decision to Augsburg College in the opening game of the 2012 Colorado College Thanksgiving Classic. Lesnansky scored 16 points in the first half to keep the Tigers within striking distance. But during the final 20 minutes, the Eagles were 14-for-19 for a blistering 73.7 shooting percentage. The Tigers trailed 61-49 with 7:41 to play, but senior forward Ian Rewoldt scored five of his 12 points to help his team pull to within four points with 1:40 remaining on the clock. That, however, proved to be as close as CC would get. Junior point guard Ryan Milne added nine points and four assists for the Tigers. Colorado College picked up its first victory of the season with an 85-69 victory over Benedictine University on Sunday. Milne scored 23 points while Lesnansky contributed 22 for the Tigers, who went 13-for-25 from three-point range. Rewoldt posted his sixth career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. CC plays host to Wartburg College on Saturday in its only game of the week.

Dallas
(0-2, 0-0 SCAC) was idle this past week. Dallas hosts Southwestern Adventist University on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., and will compete Friday/Saturday in the Citizens Bank Tournament (New London, Conn.).

Southwestern went 0-1 this week, falling to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday night in their first game in Texas. The loss drops the Pirates to 0-3 on the season. A tough first half put SU behind early, a lead that was insurmountable for the young squad. Southwestern trailed 42-34 in rebounds on the evening while Blake Scott led offensively with 12 points. The Pirates come home for the first time this season on Tuesday night as they host Wayland Baptist before opening SCAC conference action on Friday night against Austin College in Sherman.

Trinity played just once during the holiday week, earning its first win of the season by beating Texas Lutheran 68-64 on Tuesday night. The Tigers forced 17 turnovers and had three players score in double figures in the win. Trinity has a busy week ahead, playing in four games overall. The Tigers open with home games against Schreiner (Monday) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (Wednesday), then will begin SCAC play on the road at Centenary and Austin College this weekend.  Trinity swept Austin College in two games last season, winning 72-58 on the road, and edging the ‘Roos 54-53 at home.
