SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University defensive lineman Tomy Boboy was chosen as one of Beyond Sports Network's Division III Athletes of the Week after leading the Tigers to a 31-7 win on Saturday.

Boboy picked up 3.0 sacks for a total loss of 20 yards in the game, recording five total tackles - four of which were for a loss.  On the opening possession of the game, Boboy recorded sacks on consecutive plays to stop Texas Lutheran's drive at midfield.

The only score allowed by Trinity's defense came after a turnover put Texas Lutheran just 31 yards from the end zone in the third quarter.  In the first half, Trinity held the Bulldogs to just 45 yards of offense, and allowed zero or negative yards on five of seven possessions.

Boboy was also named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, after leading a Trinity defense that allowed fewer than 200 yards in the game.  He is fifth on the team with nine tackles after two games played.

Trinity is led by Head Coach Steve Mohr, who is in his 23rd season with the Tigers.  Since 1996, he has led the team to a winning percentage of .822, which is the best mark in the state of Texas during that time.
