SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Trinity University women won their first conference women's track title since 2007 and eighth overall at the 2013 SCAC Track & Field Championships held on the champions' home track. Official Website | Results | Photo Gallery
Trinity also secured the SCAC Female Athlete of the Meet award, as first-year Anecia Richardson beat out a handful of teammates for the high point award. On the men's side, it was Southwestern University's Daniel Tuttle who took the SCAC Male Athlete of the Meet honors. Richardson, who also earned SCAC Newcomer of the Year in women's basketball this winter, won three individual events, and earned All-SCAC in a fourth to bring home another top honor in the conference. She earned a title in the women's hammer throw to open the meet last night, then won the shot put and discus in today's action. Richardson then earned third place in the javelin to finish off her night.
