Trinity moves up to eighth in latest D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -
Trinity University went 4-0 during the week and moved up  one spot from ninth to eighth in the tenth D3baseball.com Top 25 poll of the 2013 regular season.

The Tigers won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship for the the fifth time in the last eight years with a perfect 3-0 record and are now 36-7 overall. Trinity has now won 31 of its last 36 games.

Linfield remained No. 1 with 622 points and was one of four teams to receive first place votes joining St. Thomas (Minn.) and Johns Hopkins. Trinity totaled 452 points in the poll, one point ahead of No. 9 Marietta (Ohio).

Trinity will await its its NCAA regional draw when the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship field is announced on May 13.
