SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University Head Coach Steve Mohr will be inducted into the Denison University Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 29.

Coach Mohr is a 1976 graduate of Denison, where he lettered in baseball, basketball, football, and golf.  He earned his bachelor's degree in health and physical education, then went on to receive his master's in education at Bowling Green State University.

The induction ceremony will take place at halftime of Denison's football game against The College of Wooster on Saturday, preceded by a banquet on Friday night to honor the new Hall of Fame class.

After leaving Denison, Mohr served as an assistant football coach at the University of Findlay from 1976-84, then was an assistant in both football and baseball at Ithaca College from 1985-89.  In 1990, he was named the Trinity University head football coach.

Coach Mohr has led Trinity to 15 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships (including 13 straight from 1993-2005) and 12 appearances in the NCAA Playoffs during his tenure.  He was named the Division III National Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2002.

Under his leadership, the Tigers have made three appearances in the NCAA Semifinals, which includes back-to-back appearances in 1998 and 1999, and an appearance in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl - the Division III Championship game.  During his tenure, 25 players have earned All-America honors.
