CLAIRE REED OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior midfielder from Harlingen, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 9th through Sunday, October 15th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 7)
Reed led the Crusaders to a pair of key SCAC home victories over Centenary (2-0) and St. Thomas (2-0) last weekend, scoring a goal in each contest. On Friday, Reed buried a late insurance goal Friday against the Ladies and then potted home the game-winning goal in the 29th minute on Sunday against the Celts. It marks just the second time in her career Reed has scored in back-to-back fixtures. Reed’s efforts help vault Dallas into second place in the current SCAC standings and the Crusaders have won three of their first four conference contests for the first time since 2019.
Reed shares this week's honor with Abby Schneider of Trinity University.
