SANSKRITI BARANWAL OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior on the women's tennis team from Irving, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning December 2.
The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.
Sanskriti has been a cornerstone of the Dallas women’s tennis team since its revival, entering her second and final season as a senior in 2024. Off the court, her relentless drive and passion have steadily influenced her game and her team, fostering a culture of support and selflessness.
Beyond tennis, Sanskriti is a force for good. She’s served as an RA, TA, and tutor at the University of Dallas, dedicating herself to helping her peers succeed. Her advocacy extends to the wider community, particularly through her work with the SPCA and efforts to support underserved groups, from the homeless to her campus family.
With a quiet determination, Sanskriti is shaping not only the upcoming season but also the values of her team, proving that leadership isn’t just about winning matches—it’s about uplifting others and creating lasting change.
