Ellwanger, a junior from Magnolia, Texas, and Dreisbach, a first-year from Irving, Texas, won 8-5 at line two doubles against Texas Lutheran on Saturday. Ellwanger also picked up the win at No. 1 singles, giving him a point for his singles and doubles play in the same match for the first time in his career.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Rishi Rajesh and first-year Niko Moret of Southwestern earned an 8-7 victory over Schreiner's Jackson Pogue and Andrew Reyes at No. 3 doubles in the Pirates' 8-1 SCAC victory over the Mountaineers on Saturday. Senior Dorian Cudina and senior Zhanlue Kuang of St. Thomas picked up the lone Celts' doubles win against Mary Hardin-Baylor, securing a hard-fought and thrilling 8-7 victory at line two.
