TJ Williams, University of Dallas, Men's Basketball - Character & Community

TJ WILLIAMS OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior forward on the men's basketball team from Forney, Texas, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character and Community Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning March 31.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

TJ Williams has been a key piece of the UDallas men’s basketball team since he stepped on campus, and has wrapped up his final season as a senior in 2025. On the court, his energy, composure, and dedication have made him a spark plug for the group and role model, fostering a culture of perseverance, integrity, and teamwork.

Beyond the court, TJ is equally impactful. He has a deep passion for service, dedicating his time to helping others. Whether volunteering with housing projects, organizing fundraising events, or working with community outreach projects to support underserved communities, he uses his personality to change lives. His compassion and commitment extend beyond basketball, inspiring those around him to give back and uplift others.

“It is very satisfying to help your community because…honestly, it will come back to you,” said Williams.

TJ is shaping not only his team’s success but also the culture of those who will rock the blue and white after him. Additionally, his brief stint as an intern with the UDallas athletics department showcased how dedicated he is to the program and growing the athletic community.
