Andi San Roman, University of Dallas, Men's Soccer - Character & Community

ANDI SAN ROMAN OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior midfielder on the men's soccer team from Irving, Texas, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character and Community Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning January 13.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Andi San Roman has been a cornerstone of the Dallas men’s soccer team since joining in 2022, now entering his final season as a senior in 2025. On the field, his relentless drive and passion have made him a leader and role model, fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and selflessness.

Off the pitch, Andi is equally impactful. He dedicates his time to mentoring young athletes in his community, organizing youth clinics to teach leadership skills and instill confidence in the next generation. His commitment to service extends throughout the community, with mission work focused on building for the less fortunate, supporting underserved families, and using community outreach as a way to unite and inspire the team.

With a quiet determination, Andi is shaping not only his team’s upcoming season but also the lives of those he touches, proving that leadership is about more than goals - it’s about uplifting others and creating meaningful change.

“What drew me to this team was the group of guys," said San Roman. "Seeing how everyone has grown as a group, team and family is a fantastic experience.”
