SUWANEE, Ga. -- SCAC weekly releases for the week spanning from Monday, December 23rd to Sunday, January 5th.

Men's Basketball - Week 8
St. Thomas (10-1, 2-0) is the lone unbeaten team in SCAC play and is off to its second 10-1 start in the last three years and third since the start of the 2019-2020 season. While the Celts are the first SCAC squad to reach the 10-win plateau, three other teams, including Ozarks (9-2, 1-1), Schreiner (8-3, 1-1) and Trinity (8-3, 1-1) sit at a .700 or better winning percentage as the league settles into the rhythm of conference play. SCAC action continues this weekend, starting on Friday night when Colorado College (4-6, 0-2) travels to Southwestern (1-10, 1-1), Schriner hosts Concordia (3-5, 0-0), Trinity hosts McMurry (2-7, 0-0) and St. Thomas takes on Texas Lutheran (3-8, 1-1) in Seguin. STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS

Player of the Week - Angel Johnson, University of St. Thomas
Angel Johnson of University of St. Thomas, a junior forward from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 23 through Sunday, January 5. Full Release   


Women's Basketball - Week 8
Colorado College (10-1, 2-0) is one of five remaining unbeaten teams in SCAC play heading into the weekend. The Tigers are off to their best start since the 1976 season and are ranked for the first time in program history as No. 24 in the WBCA poll and No. 25 in the D3hoops.com poll. Joining CC as the unbeaten is conference play are Ozarks (8-3, 2-0), Austin College (6-4, 2-0) and Texas Lutheran (8-2, 2-0) and Trinity (6-5, 2-0). League action continues again this Friday as Schreiner (2-9, 0-2) hosts Concordia (5-3, 0-0), Colorado College travels to Southwestern (3-8, 0-2), McMurry (7-2, 0-0) takes on Trinity in San Antonio and TLU hosts St. Thomas (2-7, 0-2). STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS
