SUWANEE, Ga. – Trinity University junior guard Kylie Minter was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of November 24th, it was announced Tuesday by D3hoops.com.
Minter led the Trinity women's basketball team to three straight road wins in California last weekend, defeating Whitter, Redlands, and Claremont. Minter averaged 20.0 points per game over the three contests, shooting 56.4 percent (22-of-39) from the field, 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from three-point range, and 75.0 percent (9-of-12) from the foul line. She also averaged 4.3 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 3.3 steals per game. Minter began the week by hitting back-to-back three-pointers in the fourth quarter to cut the Whittier lead to just one point with under six minutes to play, helping to lead a rally from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to win the game. Two nights later against Redlands, she had a career-high 27 to lead another comeback. Down 11 in the third quarter, Minter and the Tigers came all the way back for a six-point win. Minter scored 14 of her 27 points in the final quarter, and in fact, scored the final 14 points for the entire Trinity team in the game. She also had five rebounds and six steals in the game, committing just one turnover as she shot 9-of-14 overall and 7-of-10 at the foul line against the Bulldogs.
On the season, Minter is currently third in the SCAC in steals (12), fifth in points (18.3 ppg) and seventh in both field goals made (24) and free throws made (17).
Earlier this week, Minter was also named SCAC Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 28th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Minter is the first SCAC women’s student athlete to earn D3hoops.com National TOTW recognition since Colorado College’s Zoë Tomlinson was recognized in January of the 2023-24 season and she is the first Trinity Tiger to earn national honors since her teammate Natalie Anderson was selected in December of 2023.
