SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee head women's soccer coach Dylan Harrison is resigning his post on the Mountain and has accepted the head coaching job at Division I Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
Harrison was at the helm of the Tiger program for three seasons (2006-08). In 2005, Harrison also assisted the Tigers to an NCAA tournament appearance, the first in the school's history. His career record as a head coach at Sewanee is 25-19-2 (.568), including a 10-win season in 2008. Coach Harrison has also served as the South Region Chair of the Div. III NSCAA All-America Committee and possesses an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Since taking over the Sewanee women's soccer squad, Harrison has coached 12 All-SCAC selections and in 2008, Evey Gannaway was named the co-Offensive Player of the Year and was an All-Region selection.
As a player Coach Harrison participated in three NCAA Men's Div. III tournaments with two elite 8 appearances. He was the starting center back for the first Trinity University (Texas) men's team to go undefeated in the regular season. The Louisiana native attended High School in Austin Texas, where he received All-City and All-Region honors.
