DANVILLE, Ky. - After recording one of the best seasons by a defensive player in school history Centre College senior linebacker Adam Hay (Cincinnati, Ohio) was recently selected as a 2008 Consensus Draft Services (CDS) First Team Defensive All-American.

After coming off a year in which Hay was named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) First Team and the D3football.com 2007 South Region First Team it came as no surprise that he would receive this great honor.

Hay was a tackling machine last year, leading the Colonels and the SCAC in tackles with 138, with 79 of them being solo tackles. His 138 tackles last year became the second highest single-season total in SCAC history.

With the help of Hay's (13.8) tackles per game last year ranking him fifth in the country, the Colonels were able to have their first winning season since 2005 and their first winning season in conference play since 2003.

After having a tremendous junior season Adam Hay will look to have an amazing senior season and help lead the Colonels to an SCAC championship and prove he is worthy of being named a Preseason All-American.
