Oglethorpe Men; Southwestern Women Retain Leads at SCAC Golf Championships

TUNICA, Miss. - The Oglethorpe University men and the Southwestern University women shot the low team rounds for the second consecutive day to retain the lead heading into Sunday's final round of the 2009 SCAC Golf Championships being contest at Tunica National Golf Course. Official Website

Oglethorpe's Scott Pugh fired a second-round low 73 to jump into a first-place tie at 151 with Jonathan Alden of Trinity University in the men's individual medalist race. Men's Individual Scores

Southwestern's Marisa Mauldin, who was tied with teammate Emily Bartholet after Round One, put some space between herself and the rest of the field after a second-round 75 in the race for women's medialist honors. The two-time defending SCAC Golfer-of-the-Year has a two-day total of 152, nine shots out in front of Bartholet. Women's Individual Scores
