SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University fought back from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Southwestern University, 3-2, Saturday evening in front of raucous crowd at Sams Gymnasium on the campus of Trinity. Interactive Bracket | Official Website | Complete Recap

The top-seeded and 14th ranked Tigers, by virtue of their conference championship, will represent the SCAC in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.

In other action played out earlier in the day, the University of Dallas defeated Centenary College 3-0 to take seventh place, Austin College squeaked by Schreiner University in the fifth place match and 11th-ranked Colorado College took third-place honors with a 3-0 sweep of Texas Lutheran University.

Trinity University clinched its first SCAC Volleyball Championship since 2008 with an historic 3-2 comeback victory over Southwestern University on Saturday night.

The Tigers lost the first two sets 25-17 and 25-20, but rallied with three straight wins (25-19, 25-22, and 15-11) to become just the fourth team in SCAC Tournament history – among more than 250 matches – to win after falling behind 0-2.
