TLU's Snowden to Compete in D3 Senior Classic

SALEM, Va. - Texas Lutheran senior linebacker Bradley Snowden will represent the SCAC this Friday in the D3 Senior Classic, set for a 7 p.m. eastern (6 p.m. central) kickoff at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va.

The D3 Senior Classic has been the premier all-star experience for Division III football players since its inception in 2009. The D3 Senior Classic brings together some of Division III's best to Salem each December to compete in a North vs. South format all-star game.

Salem Stadium also serves as the home of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the NCAA Division III Championship game.

Snowden, a four-year letterman and a three-year starter for the Bulldogs, is a 2013 D3football.com All-South Region Second Team selection and the 2013 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Snowden will compete for the South squad in the D3 Senior Classic.

In 2013, Snowden led the Bulldogs to an 8-1 overall record and a 3-0 conference mark. The Bulldogs won the 2013 SCAC Championship, the first football conference title in school history.

The Bulldogs were ranked 22nd in the final regular season poll issued by the American Football Coaches Association .

Snowden, a 5-11, 215-pound linebacker from Houston, Texas, was the field general of the Texas Lutheran defense, recording 65 total tackles (second on team; sixth in SCAC) with 7.0 tackles for loss of 34 yards (second on team; tied for ninth in SCAC).

A team captain, Snowden also had 2.5 sacks for 22 yards, two fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and two QB hurries. He never missed a game in his 39-game career, which included 29 consecutive starts.

Snowden, a 2013 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee and a SCAC All-Sportsmanship Football Team honoree, finished his Bulldog career with the fourth-most total tackles in TLU's DIII era. He recorded 240 total tackles and added 20.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries (third on the DIII era list).
