Southwestern's Abdel-Rahim Earns SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Freshman Heba Abdel-Rahim of Southwestern University has been named SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her outstanding performance this past week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matches through Sunday, April 20th

HEBA ABDEL-RAHIM OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for all matches through Sunday, April 20th.

Abdel-Rahim led Southwestern to a 5-4 come from behind win over Colorado College this past weekend which led to the Pirates earning the No. 2 seed in this weekend's SCAC Women's Tennis Tournament.

Abdel-Rahim found herself and teammate Marieke Visser found themselves down 6-3 and went on to complete a great come-from-behind victory to win 9-7 and give Southwestern line doubles point. 

Abdel-Rahim
then went on to clinch the match at No. 5 singles, breaking the 4-4 tie to give the Pirates the 5-4 win.
