Trinity 15th; Southwestern 24th in Second Spring Golf World/WGCA Women's Golf Coaches’ Poll

NORMAN, Okla. –- Trinity University and Southwestern University each moved up one place to 15th and 24th, respectively, in the second Golf World/WGCA Women's Division III Coaches Poll of the 2014 spring season. A third SCAC program, Schreiner University, received the second-most votes of those schools outside of the Top 25.

Last week, the Schreiner women defeated both Southwestern, who finished second, and Trinity, who finished third, at the Schreiner Spring Shootout at Comanche Trace.

Southwestern and Trinity next compete March 14-16 at the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate, one of the premier Division III spring tournaments that will feature most of the top women's programs in the nation including Methodist University, the current No. 1 team in the nation.

Schreiner, along with fellow SCAC competitor Texas Lutheran University, tees off at the UT-Dallas Lady Comet Classic on March 17-18.
