Trinity Holds Second in the Latest NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 Women’s Soccer Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Trinity (Texas) University (19-0-1, 12-0) women's soccer team holds at the No. 2 rank in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 women's poll. Trinity sustained the No. 4 position in the D3soccer.com Top 25 women's poll for week ten and has kept the No. 1 position for the West Regional NSCAA poll for the tenth straight week.

Trinity extended its winning streak to 17 games with a pair of victories over Southwestern and UC-Santa Cruz this weekend. The Tigers opened the week with their final conference tilt, defeating Southwestern 6-0 in Georgetown, Texas.  Trinity then closed the regular season schedule with a 2-1 home win over UC-Santa Cruz on Sunday morning.

Trinity had previously clinched the top seed for next weekend's SCAC Tournament, and will face either No. 4 Austin College or No. 5 Dallas in the SCAC Semifinals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.  The winner of that game will play in Sunday's SCAC Women's Soccer Championship, also at 1:00 p.m.

Texas Lutheran is hosting the three-day event in Seguin, Texas. Trinity has won each of the past two SCAC Tournaments, and has won four consecutive conference championships.
