TLU's Peterson Headlines Four SCAC Players Earning PING All-America Recognition

NORMAN, Okla. -- Four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golfers earned 2015 Division III PING All-America honors, led by recent-graduate Adam Peterson of Texas Lutheran University on first team.

Peterson was the only first team selection, and the only member from the Bulldogs' squad. He was joined on the list by fellow recent graduates Jimmy Keener and Cheyne Kendall of Schreiner University who both earned Second Team recognition. Schreiner's Matt McClung earned honorable mention honors to round out the SCAC golfers.

Peterson earned a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championship tournament, posting a four round score of 290 (+2). He won four tournaments during the spring season as well, and was recognized as an All-American after the conclusion of the tournament by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Keener led all SCAC golfers at the NCAA Championship, posting a 71 (-1) through the final round to move into a tie for fifth place. Kendall finished five shots behind his teammate with a 293 (+5) to take 13th place.

Through the fall season, Keener led the nation in scoring average, 70.00, and won two out of three tournaments. He ended the year with a 73.00 scoring average, seventh nationally, and setting a new Schreiner record (NCAA era).

Both Keener and Kendall earned Honorable Mention All-America honors last year, while this was the first recognition for Peterson and McClung.
