Trinity Leaps to 10th in Latest NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 Men’s Soccer Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University (13-2-1, 10-1) persistent in its forward movement up the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 rankings - leaping four spots to tenth in this week's poll. Trinity continued its upward movement to the No. 20 place in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll for week eight. The Tigers retained the No. 2 position in the NSCAA West Region poll. Southwestern (Texas) University (11-5-1, 9-1-1) sustained the 10th spot in the same Regional rankings.

Trinity went 3-0-0 over the past week, starting with a 2-1 win over Division I University of Incarnate Word on Tuesday, then finishing with a road weekend sweep in SCAC play against Centenary and Austin College.

The Tigers have now won 11 consecutive games, following a 2-2-1 start to the year. Trinity has also recorded four shutouts in its last five games, and has allowed just two goals during its current winning streak.

Trinity will play two more road games in conference play this weekend, facing Texas Lutheran and Schreiner. The Tigers recorded home shutouts over the two teams earlier in the year, winning 4-0 over TLU and 8-0 over Schreiner.
