Four SCAC Soccer Programs Earn NSCAA Team Academic Honor

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The Trinity University men's and women's soccer teams, plus the Colorado College men's team and the Southwestern University women's team, each were recognized with the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year, the organization announced today. On the men's side, Colorado College maintained a 3.36 grade point average, while Trinity had a cumulative 3.05 grade point average.

For the women, Trinity led the way with a team GPA of 3.50 while Southwestern had a team GPA of 3.35. 

The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the pitch.

A total of 862 college soccer teams (269 men, 593 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.
