Settles became the first Colorado College runner to win the school's home cross country meet since 2010 and led CC to a second-place finish Saturday morning at the Ted Castaneda Classic at North Monument Valley Park. Settles, who also won the Metro State Invitational two weeks ago, finished the 8K race in 24 minutes, 31.37 seconds, the second-fastest time in program history, a new course record and just two seconds shy of the school record, set by Scott Kang in 1986 (24:29).
