Tomlinson was the lone SCAC D3hoops.com Region 10 First Team honoree, while Trinity University’s Josie Napoli garnered Second Team honors and Napoli’s teammate Jamie Ruede was picked as the Region 10 Rookie of the Year.

Tomlinson, a native of New York, has played a pivotal role in the Tigers' success. She led them to their fourth-straight SCAC Championship Game and earned the title of SCAC Player of the Year. Her exceptional performance throughout the regular season, with 24 double-doubles, led all of NCAA DII and DIII.

The junior's dominance in the conference was evident, leading in scoring with an average of 17.7 points per game, rebounds with 14 per game, and field goal percentage (.540). Her achievement of being the third player in program history to win the conference Player of the Year, joining McKenzee Gertz (2020-21) and Melanie Auguste (2008-09) as the only Tiger to earn such an accolade.

Napoli and Ruede both finished with 78 three-pointers this season, which ties Trinity's all-time record for a single season. Napoli led the team with 450 total points scored and an average of 15.5 points per game this year, while Ruede scored 390 points and had an average of 13.4 points per game. Napoli also led Trinity with 113 assists (tied for the eighth-most in school history) and was second on the team with 62 steals. Ruede hit 40 percent of her three-point attempts and was third on the team with 56 steals, while also shooting 89.6 percent (60-for-67) from the foul line.

The duo led Trinity to a 23-6 record this season, winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship with a 15-1 conference record, winning the SCAC Tournament title, and advancing to the NCAA Playoffs.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 812 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.

It's the 23rd season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

The regional Rookie of the Year award honors the top freshman in each region, while D3hoops.com also names a regional Coach of the Year.

Division III basketball is organized into 10 regions. A region with 40 teams or more has three All-Region teams honored, while a region with fewer than 40 teams has a first and second team. This reorganization results in approximately 10 additional players being recognized when compared to full seasons in the eight-region alignment.

Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The teams will be released March 16, at the national championship game.
