COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Top-seeded Colorado College advanced to its 13th straight conference semifinal after Saturday's 3-0 victory over University of Dallas at the 2020-21 SCAC Volleyball Championship. Official Championships Website
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado College had an efficient first set, hitting .306, which included six kills from Allie Freeburg. With the score 18-16, CC scored seven of the next nine points to take the 25-18 victory and a 1-0 lead.
- CC once again led from start to finish in the second set, and despite hitting just .192, earned the 25-20 win.
- Georgia Mullins had six of her 10 kills in the third and final set, hitting .857 with no errors and the Tigers closed out Dallas with a 25-19 third set victory.
- CC hit .274 for the contest and held UD to .143.

NOTABLES
- Colorado College improved to 4-0 lifetime against Dallas in SCAC volleyball tournament play, having picked up previous victories in 2013, 2014 and 2018.
- The victory earned CC its 13th straight trip to the SCAC volleyball semfinals.
- Next up for CC is a home match against Austin College, who the Tigers swept 3-0 in back to back matches March 27 and 28.
- This will be the fourth match-up between the two programs in SCAC tournament play. CC has prior tournament victories over Austin College in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
UP NEXT
Colorado College (15-0), the top ranked team in the nation, advances to take on Austin College in next weekend's semifinal match. The date and time of that match is TBD but will be hosted by Colorado College. Dallas ends its season with a 3-12 mark.
