Ten SCAC Athletes Earn Men's Soccer All-Region Accolades

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ten Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer student-athletes earned recognition with the release of the United Soccer Coaches All-Region X Team on Tuesday.

It marks the 15th consecutive season the SCAC has had 10 or more student-athletes land on an All-Region team, with a minimum of four first-team selections each season. Remarkably, the SCAC had six of the region’s 11 First-Team selections. St. Thomas led all conference squads with three student-athletes to land on an All-Region followed by Colorado College, Southwestern and Trinity with two honorees each and Texas Lutheran with one.

The conference was represented on the first team by St. Thomas sophomores, Daniel Castro (F) and Hamilton Estrada (D) and junior Taty Aleman (F), alongside Southwestern senior Jack Viles (GK), Colorado College sophomore Curtis Hale (D) and Texas Lutheran senior Luis Green (F).

A pair of defenders each landed on the second team in Southwestern junior Regan Fortner and Trinity senior JonConnor Rule.

Rounding out the SCAC All-Region selections were Colorado College senior midfielder Sajji Singh and Trinity junior midfielder Joseph Kuri each earning third team accolades.
