Colorado College's Tomlinson Claims Multiple All-American Honors

SUWANEE, Ga. – SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year, Colorado College junior center Zoe Tomlinson, wrapped up the 2023-24 season with a pair of All-America honors it was announced by both D3Hoops.com and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) last week.

Tomlinson made her debut on the D3Hoops.com All-American team, earning Third Team honors and was named NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-American Honorable Mention by the WBCA. The national honors punctuates an outstanding season during which Tomlinson was named both the SCAC Player-of-the-Year and D3Hoops.com First Team All-Region X.  

A two-time First Team All-SCAC selection, Tomlinson put together a historic year. She became just the second player in SCAC history to lead the league in points per game (17.7), rebounds per game (14.0) and field goal percentage (54.0%) in the same season. She joins Trinity’s Jennifer Warren who last accomplished the feat during the 1994-95 season. Her 378 total rebounds set the new single season mark for rebounds in a single SCAC season and finished second in all of NCAA Division III. Tomlinson finished the year with a remarkable 24 doubles-doubles, ranking her second in all of Division III.

Tomlinson guided the Tigers to their fourth-straight SCAC Tournament Championship last month and was named to the All-Tournament Team. This year’s 20 victories mark the first time since 1980-81 the program has reached the 20-win plateau. The Tigers 20-8 record is tied for the fourth best record in program history.

Historically, Tomlinson became just the fifth player in SCAC history to reach 1,000 career points and 900 career rebounds. Currently, Tomlinson’s 909 career rebounds is ranked seventh best in league history and her 1,085 points is tied for 81st in SCAC history. Tomlinson is the first SCAC women’s basketball player to earn All-American honors in back-to-back seasons since Austin College’s Bryce Frank was recognized in consecutive seasons back in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
