NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The top four women's seeds - Trinity University, Sewanee-The University of the South, Southwestern University and Millsaps College - all advanced in first day action at the 2012 SCAC Women's Tennis Championships being contested at Burns Park Tennis Center.
Trinity, the top seed in the event, defeated #9 Oglethorpe University, 9-0 (Match results), second-seeded Sewanee handled #7 Colorado College, 9-0, (Match results), third-seeded Southwestern defeated #6 Rhodes College, 6-3 (Match results), and fourth-seeded Millsaps advanced with a 7-2 victory over #5 Birmingham-Southern College (Match results).
Play continues Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and concludes on Sunday.
