LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The University of Dallas got their first win of the year over the Ozarks thanks to a great effort by Player of the Week Brooke Hagemann. Texas Lutheran set a school record in a dominating win while Trinity improved to 3-1 on the year after a split on the week.

The Austin College women's basketball team went 0-2 last week, bringing their overall record to 1-2 on the year with losses to Ozarks and Oklahoma City at the Bob Mason Classic in Sherman. The 'Roos led at the half against Ozarks before falling 79-73, and fell 100-48 to Oklahoma City. Against Ozarks, Christina Kime had a huge game hitting 7-of-9 three pointers on her way to 25 points and also handed out six assists, and Erin Riley finished with 17 points in the loss. Briana Harvey came off the bench to score 12 points for the 'Roos. Against Oklahoma City, the size of the Stars proved too much as OCU used 31 offensive rebounds to top the 'Roos. Riley led the 'Roos with 10 points while Kime and Kendall Heitmeir each added nine in the loss.
Centenary went 0-3 on the week, including a home opening loss to intra-city foe LSU-Shreveport and setbacks to Rust and LaGrange at the Zaxby's Charity Tip-Off Tournament. Briana Edwards averaged a double-double during the three games with 11.7 points and 10.7 rebounds. Haley Deshautelle ranked second the team in scoring with 9.7 points per game. The freshman led the team in scoring in the decision against LC with a career-high 14 points. Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Mississippi College.
Sophomore forward Danielle Davis hit six of 11 shots from the floor en route to a season-high 14 points, but Colorado College dropped a 69-49 decision at California Lutheran University on Thursday night in its first road game of the 2013-14 season. Sophomore guard Katie Wirth and freshman forward Korbyn Ukasick recorded eight points apiece. Junior guard Courtney Tyus grabbed a season-best eight rebounds, which was only one off of her career high, and dished out four assists. A determined comeback attempt ran out of time as CC fell, 58-50, at Occidental the following night. Davis led CC with 14 points and six rebounds, while Ukasick scored 12 points and grabbed a team high seven boards. Three games in three days proved to be too big of an obstacle for Colorado College as the Tigers lost, 83-62, at the University of La Verne on Saturday. Ukasick turned in another solid performance, leading Colorado College with 14 points and five rebounds. It marked the third time in the last four games that the freshman forward scored 12 or more points. Sophomore guard Katie Waters recorded a season-high 11 points, while Davis finished with 10 points, her third consecutive outing in double figures. Tyus recorded nine points and dished out nine assists, which was only one off of her career high set on Feb. 10, 2012, at Southwestern University. Colorado College (0-5) returns home next week for its annual Thanksgiving Classic. The Tigers play host to Carleton College on Friday at 3 p.m. MT, and Otterbein University on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Dallas women's basketball team (1-1) was victorious 63-52 over University of the Ozarks on Saturday at neutral-site Austin College as part of the Bob Mason Classic. Dallas is idle until Tuesday, Dec. 3, when they host Dallas Christian College in a 5:30 p.m. affair at the Maher Athletic Center.
Schreiner went 0-1 on the weekend, losing 66-54 to St. Thomas of Texas. Schreiner starts its week on Monday with a road contest at Mary Hardin-Baylor and will then return home to take on Howard-Payne on Saturday.
Southwestern has hit a skid, dropping their last three contests including two this week against Concordia and Westminster. SU's offense struggled in the second half of both games as they lost first half leads in both games to fall 84-63 to Concordia and 70-63 to Westminster. The Pirates will look to regroup this week as they head to San Antonio to face Mary Hardin Baylor and Southern Arkansas in neutral site contests on Saturday and Sunday.
Texas Lutheran held Southwestern Adventist to 19.2 percent shooting and forced 28 turnovers in the Bulldogs' 99-30 non-conference win Saturday. The margin of victory of 69 points set a new school record for TLU. Taylor Dydalewicz and Karisa Cantu each scored 16 for TLU. Cantu also dished out seven assists and recorded three steals. Dydalewicz grabbed seven rebounds. Dydalewicz made eight of her nine shots, and Cantu made seven of her eight shots. The University of Texas at Pan American opened up a 23-point lead over Texas Lutheran at the half and cruised to an 80-37 non-conference win Tuesday at the UTPA Fieldhouse. TLU shot 18.9 percent (10-for-53) from the field and 17.6 percent (3-for-17) from the three-point line. TLU junior guard Bianca Casas played in her hometown and led TLU in scoring, with nine. She added four steals, two assists and two rebounds. First-year forward Savannah Hight and sophomore forward Taylor Dydalewiczeach scored six for the Bulldogs. First-year forward Kristen Lye pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
No. 19 Trinity split its first home games of the season, defeating NAIA Division I team Wayland Baptist University, but falling to the University of Texas-Dallas on Thursday night. The Tigers exploded for 91 points in Tuesday's win over Wayland Baptist, scoring a season-high in points, and taking a 13-point victory. Trinity then suffered its first loss of the season with a 78-62 defeat at the hands of UT-Dallas. Trinity will play three times this week, beginning Monday night at Division II Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. The Tigers will then host the Trinity Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday and Sunday, November 30-December 1. Trinity hosts Southern Arkansas University, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and Southwestern University in the two-day event. The Tigers play both games at 4:00 p.m., facing Southern Arkansas on Saturday, and then taking on UMHB on Sunday.
