LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior guard Christina Kime of Austin College and sophomore forward Anecia Richardson of Trinity have been named SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for their efforts this past weekend.

CHRISTINA KIME OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior guard from San Diego, Calif., and ANECIA RICHARDSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from Mesquite, Texas, have been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, January 6th through Sunday, January 12th.
Kime led the 'Roos to a pair of conference road victories over Colorado College and Dallas.
Kime averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 52.2% from the field and 45.5% from three point range, and also knocked down 16-of-19 free throws.
Kime went for 19 points and eight rebounds in a 70-60 win over Colorado College and followed that up with 26 points, five boards, and five assists in a 68-56 victory over Dalas.
Richardson led Trinity to a pair of SCAC home victories over the weekend, defeating both Texas Lutheran and Schreiner on Friday and Saturday.
Richardson led the team with 21.5 points/game and 11.0 rebounds/game in the wins, hitting 17-30 (56.7%) from the field, and recording six total blocks. She had double-doubles in both games for the Tigers, bringing her season total to four double-doubles in 2013-14. Richardson had just four double-doubles during the entire 2012-13 season.
Against Texas Lutheran, Richardson hit 7-13 from the field to score 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. In Saturday's win over Schreiner, she poured in 23 points to go with 12 rebounds, hitting 10-17 field goals and nabbing four blocked shots.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman guard Lizzie Moran of Centenary who led the Maroon and White in scoring during both contests. Moran tallied a career-high 23 points in the setback at Dallas and followed with 14 points at Colorado College. Junior guard Courtney Tyus of Colorado College averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists to help Colorado College earn a split in its two conference games last week. Freshman guard Lindsey Gendron of Dallas scored 23, 9, and 17 to lead the Crusaders to a 2-1 weekend including a conference win over Centenary. Junior forward Lindsey Peterson of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to a 1-1 record this past week by averaging 19 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard/forward Chelsea Leeder of Southwestern was second on the team in scoring and led in rebounding with 20.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the floor and going a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line. Sophomore forward Taylor Dydalewicz of Texas Lutheran averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in the Bulldogs' 0-2 weekend in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. .
