first-ever SCAC games at Schreiner and Texas Lutheran on Friday and
Saturday, respectively.
The Dallas women’s basketball team went 2-1

points leader Sophomore Lindsey Peterson (17.6 ppg/7.4 rpg),
Sophomore guard Kelsie Jackson (13.1 ppg), and Senior Bailey
Harris (10.1 ppg). Schreiner will host Colorado College this
Friday (December 17th) and Dallas on Saturday (December 18th).
Southwestern returned to SCAC conference action
at home this weekend, taking on Schreiner and Texas Lutheran. The
Pirates were sluggish on Friday and weren’t able to get a run
together as Schreiner upset the Pirates 79-69. SU returned to form
and posted their largest point total of the season so far with a
92-82 win over Texas Lutheran. Southwestern scored 53 second half
points and shot 56.4% from the floor in the win. The Pirates move
to 5-9 after the weekend and 1-2 in the SCAC. They remain at home
to face Austin College and Centenary this weekend.
Texas Lutheran had their six-game win streak
snapped with a six-point loss at Trinity, and the Bulldogs dropped
to 1-2 in the SCAC with a 10-point loss at Southwestern. TLU held a
seven-point lead in the first half and a six-point lead in the
second half against Trinity. Trinity held TLU to 19-of-82 (23.2

Trinity swept a pair of SCAC games over the
weekend to stay unbeaten and atop the conference standings in the
early season. The Tigers opened with a 70-64 win over Texas
Lutheran on Friday, then finished with a flurry by beating
Schreiner 75-52 on Saturday. Murphy Burns moved up to fifth in
school history in scoring over the weekend, currently standing with
1,376 career points for the Tigers. She needs just 48 more
points to become the second-leading scorer at Trinity, and would
pass Krista Prato Matthews (2005-09) for that honor. Trinity
resumes SCAC play this weekend with two more home games, facing off
against Centenary and Austin College. The Tigers swept all
three meetings with both teams last season, including one game
against each at home.
