LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity University sophomore forward/center Anecia Richardson has been selected as SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts this past weekend.

ANECIA RICHARDSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward/center from Mesquite, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 11th through Sunday, November 17th.
Richardson was brilliant in her debut, leading the 19th-ranked Tigers to a 2-0 weekend with wins over Morivan and Hardin-Simmons
Against Moravian, Richardson kicked off the season in style with a 25-point game that featured 11-18 shooting and five rebounds.
The following night against Hardin-Simmons, Richardson scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting to go along with three boards and three blocks as the Tigers blasted the Cowgirls, 84-62.
Richardson averaged a team-best 15.5 points/game and 2.5 blocks over the weekend, collecting eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. She also hit 13-22 (59.1%) from the field and 5-5 from the foul line in the two victories.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard/forward Erin Riley of Austin College scored 16 points, hitting 4-of-5 three pointers, and added six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot in a win over UMHB. Sophomore forward Briana Edwards of Centenary tied for the team lead with 12 points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds and went 6-for-8 at the charity stripe and was 42-percent from the field. Freshman forward Korbyn Ukasick of Colorado College averaged 11.5 points and 6.5 points per game. During Sunday's 67-57 loss to Occidental College, Ukasick led the Tigers with 14 points and eight rebounds. Junior forward Lindsey Peterson of Schreiner helped lead the Mountaineers to a 1-1 week with 39 points (19.5 points/gm) and 14 rebounds (7 rebound/gm). Peterson was 14-of-32 (.438) from the floor and 9-of-12 (.750) at the line. Senior guard/forward Chelsea Leeder of Southwestern averaged 16.5 points per game this week while averaging 28 minutes per game. She shot 43.3% from the floor (13-30) and 33.3% form three point range (5-15) while pulling down 9 rebounds, 4.5 per game. Sophomore forward Taylor Dydalewicz of Texas Lutheran averaged 14.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in the Bulldogs' 1-1 start to the 2013-14 season. In the win over Dallas Christian, Dydalewicz scored 18 points and added five rebounds and two steals. In the road loss to UT Dallas, she scored 11 and grabbed another five rebounds. Dallas did not nominate anyone.
