Dallas' Hagemann Earns SCAC Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - University of Dallas junior forward Brooke Hagemann has been selected as SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts this past weekend. 

 

 

 

 



 

SCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Games of November 18th – November 24th

BROOKE HAGEMANN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior forward from Oklahoma City, Okla., has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 18th through Sunday, November 24th.

Hagemann was dominant on Saturday afternoon to lead the Crusaders to theri first win of the season over the University of the Ozarks

Hagemann picked up her first double-double of the season, scoring 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting including a three pointer and pulling down 12 rebounds in 32 minutes.

Hagemann also added three assists, three steals, and two blocks in the game as the University of Dallas improve to 1-1 on the young season.

Hagemann lead the SCAC in rebounds per game at 11.0 and is also averaging a team leading 12.5 points per game on 41% shooting in 30 minutes of play.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Christina Kime of Austin College had a big weekend, averaging 17.0 points and 4.0 assists while hitting 10-of-18 three pointers and 11-of-20 shots overall in two games. Sophomore forward Briana Edwards of Centenary averaged 11.7 points and 10.7 rebounds on the week and was 50-percent from the floor and the free throw line during the week. Sophomore forward Danielle Davis of Colorado College averaged 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per outing during Colorado College's three-game road swing through Southern California. Freshman forward Olivia Lott of Schreiner had 11 points (3-9 FG, 5-8 FT), 14 rebounds, and 3 steals for the Mountaineers vs. St. Thomas. Junior forward McKamie Place of Southwestern averaged 10 points per game, shooting 61% from the floor (8-13) and 50% from three point range (4-8). Place added in seven rebounds and two steals in the two games. Junior guard Karisa Cantu of Texas Lutheran averaged 10.5 points, 1.5 steals, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the TLU Bulldogs. Cantu made 9 of her 11 field goal attempts (81.2 percent), including a 7-for-8 performance in the Bulldogs' 99-30 road win over Southwestern Adventist. Junior guard Murphy Burns of Trinity averaged 20.0 points/game this past week, hitting 46.2% (12-26) from the field and 4-12 (33.3%) from long-range.  She scored 12-13 free throws (92.3%) over the weekend, adding nine rebounds (4.5/game) while averaging 30.5 minutes/game for the Tigers.
