SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Top-seeded Texas Lutheran
University and second-seeded Trinity University will battle for the
2014 SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament title Sunday afternoon.
Texas Lutheran defeated Schreiner University 63-58 in Saturday's
first women's semifinal contest and homestanding Trinity bested a
pesky University of Dallas squad, 60-54, to advance to its
second-consecutive SCAC championship game.
Texas Lutheran and Trinity split its two contests this season, with
each winning on its home floor. Trinity defeated TLU 70-64 on Jan.
10 in San Antonio and TLU came back from a 21-point deficit on Feb.
14 to defeat Trinity 74-72 in Seguin.
