LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The softball programs of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference continued competition into the fifth week of the regular season.
The No. 8 Bulldogs of Texas Lutheran University (12-0, 4-0) earned doubleheader sweeps over Staten Island and Calumet College at St. Josephs to extend their perfect start to 12 straight wins. Trinity University (10-4, 4-0) went 5-1 on the week including back-to-back doubleheader sweeps over Southwestern University (7-9, 0-4).
Centenary College (8-6, 2-2) dropped a doubleheader to Belhaven before splitting against Dallas (6-6, 2-2) in back to back doubleheaders.
Austin College (8-8, 0-4) traveled to Florida to compete where they posted a .500 record against Brandeis, Washington (Mo.), Webster and Ursinus.
Schreiner University (0-10) did not compete.
