SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- A three-run home run by Melanie Savala and a two-run shot by Samantha Laberge were more than enough to power the University of Dallas to a 9-1 victory over Southwestern University in a SCAC Softball Championship elimination game Saturday afternoon on the campus of Trinity. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dallas scored four unearned runs in the 1st inning with Savala's three-run shot doing most of the damage.
- Both teams had seven hits, but Southwestern's three errors that led to four unearned runs was more than the Pirates could overcome.
