- Schreiner scored four runs in the second inning to take a 4-1 lead.
- University of Dallas batted around and scored six runs in the third inning, with all the runs coming with two outs.
- Both teams committed three errors but Dallas scored four unearned runs off Schreiner's errors; Schreiner had two unearned runs.
