LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
It was a busy week in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer with six fixtures on the schedule highlighted by Trinity making its season debut with a pair of league contests.

After a scoreless opening 45 minutes against the Crusaders, Mac McCord struck for the first goal of his career in the 49th minute off a feed from Philip Duenez. Trinity limited Dallas to just three shots, while posting 31 shots of its own. On Sunday, Trinity fell behind, 1-0, in the 50th minute when Ivan Barrios found the back of the net off an assist from Mickey Maloney. Less than six minutes later, Trinity equalized as Michael Somerville scored off a pass from Jack Eubank. Chen Adjei secured three points for the Tigers when he scored the game-winner on an unassisted marker in the 72nd minute. Trinity outshot Austin College 18-9 and held an 11-5 edge in corner kicks. Juan Carlos Vidales made three saves in net over the weekend for the Tigers posting a shutout in the opener.

Rodrigo Lazo made five saves in net en route to posting two shutouts for the Celts last week.
