Junior Emma Shepherd of Centenary tossed her first-career complete game shutout on Saturday in a 5-0 win over Schreiner at home. She allowed just four hits in her seven innings of work with two walks and seven strikeouts. Shepherd also came on in relief of starting pitcher Anna Scarbrock in Thursday's 8-0 win and got the final two outs of the sixth inning to help secure the shutout win. Sophomore Allison Hughes of St. Thomas picked up the Celts lone win last week in their series against Southwestern, going the distance, scattering six hits over six innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out six in an 11-3 victory. Senior pitcher Sydney Ouellette of Texas Lutheran needed just 53 pitches to toss her first complete game shutout of the 2024 season, picking up a win over Austin College last Friday. Ouellette went five strong innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out two batters in the victory. First year pitcher Josephine Koelewyn of Trinity pitched in two of last weekend's three road wins for the Tigers against SCAC foe Dallas. Koelewyn pitched 6.0 shutout innings over the weekend, allowing just one hit and earning the win in game two of the series. She yielded just one hit in a 5-1 win on Friday evening that saw her earn the win with a five-inning outing. She also pitched one inning in the series finale on Saturday to put the finishing touches on a 7-3 Tiger win.
