VESKO LEKOVIC AND HEMANSHU RAMBOJUN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6. (SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 5)
Kekovic, a senior from Houston, Texas, and Rambojun, a senior from Saint Pierre, Moka, playing in their first match together, posted an 8-6 victory over last year's No. 3 ranked doubles team in the West Region, LeTourneau's Julian Lee and Patrick Baney.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Christian Settles and junior Hao Nguyen of Trinity opened the Tigers' SCAC schedule with an 8-6 victory at Colorado College which set the momentum for Trinity to complete the shutout team victory. Senior Juanrodrigo Lopez and junior Jace Ware of St. Thomas played well at the No. 1 doubles line, helping propel the Celts to an early lead with their 8-4 win and the eventual 5-4 team victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor.
