Freshman right-hander Amanda Pollock of Schreiner collected a key win in the circle for the Mountaineers, tossing a complete game in a 4-2 win over Dallas. She went seven innings, scattering three hits and allowing just two runs, while striking out three. First-year pitcher Allison Hughes of St. Thomas had an outstanding week helping lead the Celts over a sweep over SCAC foe Southwestern. Hughes appeared in two games and picked up two wins, striking out seven batters and limiting the pirates to just eight hits. Junior right-handed pitcher Brooke Porter of Trinity notched a pair of victories to lead the Tiger softball team to a 3-3 overall week that included a weekend series win over Centenary in SCAC play. Porter was 2-0 in four total appearances last week, earning wins in both Trinity victories over Centenary. She earned her first win since 2021 in the second game of Saturday's DH against the Ladies, tossing three shutout innings in relief. Porter followed that up with her first start since 2021 in Sunday's series finale, lasting 5.1 innings to earn the win.
