SARA FLYNN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior right side from Seattle, Wash., has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 24 through Sunday, October 30. Flynn crushed her previous career-high in kills with 22 successful strikes in the fourth-ranked Tigers' victory over Southwestern in Seguin on Saturday. For the past week, Flynn averaged 3.38 kills per set (54 in total) on a .367 hitting percentage, including a 4.40 kills per set average on a .447 clip against the Pirates. In addition, the 2021 All-America honorable mention posted 12 blocks for a 0.75 per-set average.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outside hitter/right side Trinity Atkins of St. Thomas had an impressive week as she notched 43 kills (2.69 per set) in four matches. The senior posted an impressive 2.9 points per set to go with a .172 hitting percentage.
