SUWANEE, Ga. – Trinity University first year forward Christian Green was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of December 3rd, it was announced by D3hoops.com.
Green led the charge for the Tigers last week, averaging 22.0 points, 2.3 assists, 12.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. He led the Tigers to a perfect 3-0 record, including a pair of road SCAC wins to open up league play. Green recorded two double-doubles, 20 points and 15 rebounds against Mary Hardin-Baylor, and 24 points and 12 rebounds against Southwestern in his conference debut last Friday. He scored in double-figures in all three games, including three consecutive 20-plus point efforts ending the weekend with 22 points against Texas Lutheran. Green connected on 57.9 percent from the charity stripe, knocking down 11-of-19 trips to the line and 100 percent from three in his single attempt beyond the arc.
Green currently sits among the league leaders in several statistical categories, including second in blocks (13), fourth in points per game (17.7), fifth in rebounds per game (8.7) and sixth in field goal percentage (58.1).
Green is the first SCAC men’s student athlete to earn D3hoops.com National TOTW recognition since Schreiner’s Kamden Ross was recognized in week 13 of the 2022-23 season. He is the first Trinity athlete to be named to the team since Jayden Holden earned the distinction in week four of the 2017-18 season.
