WILSON HAMILTON AND JORDAN PITTS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 22 through Sunday, March 28.
Hamilton and Pitts scored the Tigers' first victory of the day against NCAA I University of the Incarnate Word with an 8-3 decision in line-three doubles, paving the way for Trinity to earn the pivotal doubles point in the Division-I scoring format. The senior Austin, Texas-natives then went on to tie, then clinch, the match over the Cardinals with a pair of three-set victories in lines three and four of singles action, respectively, to score Trinity's second match win over a NCAA I opponent.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Dorian Cudina and Carson Steele of St. Thomas earned a point for the Celts, defeating Tyrese Washington and Jaydn Boone of D1 Prairie View A&M, 8-4, on Friday. Carlos Esteban and Drew Shuvalov of Southwestern defeated Austin College's Preston Spivey and Brett O'Brien, 8-7, in No. 1 doubles in SCAC play on Saturday.
