SUWANEE, Ga. - Birmingham-Southern College senior catcher Sam Hill and Rhodes College senior pitcher Hunter Chandler earned Capital One Academic All-America® honors, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Hill, an accounting majors from Mobile, Ala., maintains a 3.67 Grade Point Average (GPA) and was named to the third-team. Chandler, a native of Gainesville, Ga., carries a 3,97 GPA as an economics and business major. Chandler was also named to the third-team.
Hill and Chandler were the only two student-athletes from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to be named to the Capital One Academic All-America® teams in the sport of baseball.
