Sophomore right-hander Megan Kriechbaum of Trinity made three appearances in the circle last week as the TU softball team extended its winning streak to 10 games after going 5-0, sweeping a mid-week doubleheader from Carnegie Mellon and sweeping its SCAC weekend series at McMurry. Kriechbaum made an appearance in all three McMurry games over the weekend, totaling 10.2 shutout innings and allowing just four hits. She started Sunday's opening game, earning the win after striking out nine batters in 6.2 innings and allowing just two hits. Kriechbaum finished off the series sweep by pitching the final two innings of Sunday's series finale, striking out five batters while allowing just one hit. Junior right-hander Allison Hughes of St. Thomas dominated in the circle, earning two wins in as many starts. She tossed 14.0 innings with a stellar 0.50 ERA, allowing just one earned run while striking out 17 in a pair of conference wins against Dallas. Opposing batters hit just .170 against the right-hander as she posted a WHIP of 0.86. Senior right-hander Amanda White of Texas Lutheran picked up two of the three wins in the Bulldogs' sweep of Centenary this weekend. The senior tossed 13.0 innings, allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out 10. Junior right-hander Anyssia Mendoza of Schreiner made two appearances against Austin College, picking up the win in both. She worked a 8.0 combined innings while allowing six hits and five earned runs and striking out 16 batters, including 11 in Friday's series-opening 13-5 win. Mendoza leads the conference in strikeouts with 52. First-year right-hander Kristiana Guerra of Dallas showcased resilience on the mound, pitching 10.1 innings across two appearances against St. Thomas while maintaining a solid 3.39 ERA. Despite facing tough competition on the Celts side, she limited the opposition to two walks and demonstrated strong command with a 1.55 WHIP.
