MAYSON POST OF CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY (TEXAS), a sophomore right-hander from Columbus, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 17 through Sunday, February 23. SCAC Softball Release - Week 3

Post was clutch in a pair of relief efforts that contributed to a pair of 4-3 wins in the Tornados' doubleheader sweep of McMurry n Sunday. With the tying run on base in game one, Post came in and forced the final out to secure the save. And in game two, Post only allowed three runners on base in the final 4.2 innings of action to earn the win. In total, Post worked 5.0 innings, earning a save and a win, while allowing no runs with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.60 WHIP.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior right-hander Amanda White of Texas Lutheran tossed 7.2 shutout innings over two games on Sunday, earning a win and a save against Trinity. The senior struck out five and walked four as the Bulldogs swept Sunday's conference doubleheader. Junior right-hander Allison Hughes of St. Thomas was dominant in the circle for the Celts, pitching a complete game and leading her team to victory with a 6-1 win over Centenary. She allowed just one hit, striking out seven, while holding the opponent to an .048 batting average with a stellar 1.00 ERA and an WHIP of 0.43. First-year right-hander Kristiana Guerra of Dallas earned a win across two appearances against Schreiner, posting an impressive 1.00 ERA while holding opponents to a .192 batting average. Over seven innings pitched, she allowed just five hits and one earned run while striking out four and maintaining a strong WHIP of 1.00. Sophomore right-hander Josephine Koelewyn of Trinity pitched an eight-inning complete-game in an extra-inning loss to #14 Texas Lutheran to open the SCAC series between the two teams, allowing just three earned runs on seven hits and striking out three batters. Sophomore right-hander Sophia Ytuarte of Southwestern pitched five innings, had three strikeouts, one base on balls, five hits with no runs allowed, helping the Pirates pick up the conference win in game two against Ozarks. Senior right-hander Mack Lucio of Ozarks tossed a complete game to lead the Eagles to a 4-1 win on Sunday against Southwestern. She went 7.0 innings, allowing just five hits and was charged with one earned run. She retired the side in the second inning and finished with only two walks.
