DONTRE SINEGAL OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Benbrook, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 24 through Sunday, March 30. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 5

Sinegal competed in the long jump at the 2025 Bobcat Invitational where his mark of 7.39 meters finished fifth in a stacked Division I field. That mark currently ranks atop the SCAC, the West Region as well as all of Division III. 

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Matthew Hicks of St. Thomas placed second in the high jump with a mark of 2.01 meters at the Trinity Invitational. Sophomore Calvin Mason of LeTourneau had another strong weekend for the Yellowjackets at the Trinity Invitational. He finished fourth overall in the hammer with a program-record distance of 49.51 meters (162' 5"). In the shot put, Mason set another program record at 15.42 meters (50' 7 1/4") and was third in the event. Mason also placed 14th in the discus at 39.95 meters (131' 1"). Mason's shot put mark put him 14th in the nation (first in the SCAC), while his hammer throw ranks second in the SCAC. Sophomore Parker Cabra of Texas Lutheran finished fourth in the high jump at 2.01 meters (6' 7") at the Trinity Invite - a jump that is currently 10th nationally. He also finished sixth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.76. Senior Ka'Von Moore Jr. of Concordia (Texas) posted a pair of PRs in the long jump (6.61 meters) and triple jump (13.27 meters) at the Trinity Invitational. Moore Jr. claimed a bronze finish in the triple jump (first among SCAC competitors) and placed fifth in the long jump (second among SCAC competitors).
