JORDYN WHITE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 6)
White jumped a new season-best mark in the long jump with a 5.57m jump at the UIW Invitational. This marks ranks first in the SCAC and 18th in Division 3.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Maya Mossanen of Colorado College cleared 1.60m in the high jump this past weekend at the CU Invitational. This mark is her best height this season and she currently leads the conference in high jump. First-year Kaycie Willis of Dallas placed ninth out of 26 competitors with a toss of 10.79 meters in the shot put while competing at the East Texas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M Commerce. Sophomore Taylor Hubbard of Southwestern finished fifth in the javelin throw, setting a new school record with a distance of 33.97 meters, breaking Erin Toro's previous mark of 31.78 meters set in 2021. Hubbard also placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 2.80 meters.Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
